The North Carolina Public Employer Labor Relations Association provides services to public sector management (federal, state, county, municipal, court, educational, authority or political sub-division) in the areas of human resources and labor relations.

Board Members








NCPELRA goals shall include:




Disseminating and exchanging information, data, and analysis of policy pertaining to all areas of labor relations, including collective bargaining, in which governmental authorities or political sub-divisions and public management may become involved. 



Fostering communication and cooperation among members and affiliate organizations to promote sound public policies, practices and legislation. 

Promoting innovative solutions to practical problems in public sector labor management relations, and interagency cooperation and support among the members. 
Providing a voice for public sector human resources and labor relations management professionals in the development of state and national policy, and supporting legislation to further member interests, to enhance their ability to discharge their professional responsibilities effectively on behalf of their employers. 
Providing professional support to public sector human resources and labor relations practitioners in resolving problems within their jurisdiction. 


Providing training and continuing education opportunities in employee/employer labor relations and the development of future leaders in the profession.
