Benefits of Membership





The Texas Public Employers Labor Relations Association (TXPELRA) is a group of public service leaders with common concerns in labor relations. TXPELRA strives to provide its members with high-quality, progressive labor relations advice that balances the needs of management, employees, and the public.

TXPELRA also works to promote the interests of public sector management in the judicial and legislative arenas and to provide opportunities for networking among members.

When you join TXPELRA you receive joint membership in the National Public Employers Labor Relations Associations (National PELRA) an impressive network of state and regional affiliates with over 2,200 members around the country. The governmental agencies represented in National PELRA employ more than four million workers in federal, state, and local government.

National PELRA/TXPELRA membership connects you with colleagues across the United States and can be a valuable tool to your professional career. You will find that the more you participate and become involved on both the state and national levels, the greater the benefit your membership will be.

One of the major benefits of being an National PELRA member are discounted rates for the best training available for labor relations professionals including our Annual Training Conference and our Labor Relations Academy, a three-part program that leads to the distinguished title of Certified Labor Relations Professional (CLRP). Additionally, we feature two elective academies: Interest Arbitration and Costing a Labor Contract.

Shall be open to any person employed full time by a state, county, federal, or municipal government; public corporation or authority; special district; public school system; college or university; who is assigned principal or subordinate responsibility for the employee relations function exclusively on behalf of management.
